Plotox is a 100% client-side application. This means:
- No data uploads: Your CSV, TSV, Excel, and raw data files are parsed, processed, and visualized entirely within your web browser. No file content is ever transmitted to our servers or any third-party service.
- No server-side storage: We do not store, log, or retain any of your dataset content. When you close your browser tab, your data is gone.
- No user accounts: We do not require registration, login, or any form of personal identification to use Plotox.
Local Storage & Cookies
Plotox uses your browser's localStorage for the following purposes:
- Theme preference: We store your light/dark mode preference so it persists across visits.
- Session history: Recent chart configurations may be cached locally for convenience.
We do not use cookies for tracking, advertising, or third-party profiling purposes. Any cookies that exist are set by third-party services listed below.
Third-Party Services
Plotox integrates the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:
- Google Fonts (Google LLC): Used to serve the Inter and Space Grotesk typefaces. Google may collect anonymized usage data. Google Privacy Policy.
Data Security
Since all data processing occurs in your browser, your datasets never leave your device. This is the highest level of data security possible for a web-based tool — zero server exposure. The connection to Plotox is protected by HTTPS/TLS encryption provided by our hosting provider (Vercel).
Children's Privacy
Plotox does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)
Because Plotox does not collect, store, or process personal data on its servers, most data subject rights (access, deletion, portability) are inherently satisfied. You can clear any locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this domain.
